About us

Established in 2002, Tidworth & District Chamber of Commerce has recently rebranded and it’s principle aim is to support the Tidworth & District’s economy become more profitable through creating business partnerships and an environment, where businesses can grow and prosper. The Chamber has only had three Chairpersons in its history, with Kristen Smith having taken the Chair in 2020. The Chamber has relaunched after a period of closure with a fresh new brand set to support its Members and provide innovation, unity and opportunity to the business community.

Kristen Smith

Chair of the Chamber

Kristen Smith is the Managing Director and co-founder of management consultancy, Insignia Global Partners Ltd which formed in 2014. In her capacity as MD she is responsible for the systematic management of the company’s global business operations. Collectively, Kristen has over 20 years of senior and board level management experience within the national and international recruitment arena; presiding over substantive healthcare manpower projects both in the UK and Middle East. Previously, Kristen founded Staff Medical and as CEO where she was accountable for the financial and operational management of the UK based recruitment agency.

Additionally, Kristen has held senior executive management roles on behalf of the Department of Work and Pensions (Welfare Reform) as well as a leading FTSE 100 listed recruitment businesses. As a former military medic, Kristen is able to provide a range of efficiency skills to the Chamber, which will enable the Chamber to develop significantly and find solutions to the increasing business demands of its members.


Sean Willmont

Vice Chair of the Chamber

Sean Willmont is the Director of a local Building and Property Development Company, Willmont Building Services, located in Castledown Business Park. With over thirty years of experience in the building trade, Willmont Building Services pride themselves in honesty, reliability, quality, customer service and being a one-stop-shop.

Sean joined the Tidworth & District Chamber of Commerce fifteen years ago, at the very start, when the Chamber was first being formed. He became a Member as he has dealt with many scenarios in business and has helped many people start and grow their businesses over the years; Sean believes the Chamber is a good platform to come to and get the basics they need to get started, knowing they have the support they may require at any time throughout their journey into business.

Sean hopes the Chamber will achieve being a sole reliable platform where businesses of all types can obtain and exchange information, support each other, bring in new ideas and showcase their skills, help each other, make new contacts and find out how others are working and to what effect, and just be part of a local organisation supporting their local area.

Megan Finlay

Head of Events & Relations

Megan Finlay is a Recruitment Analyst at Insignia Global Partners and holds a passion for supporting healthcare talent to secure a valuable new career in the UK. An energetic and innovative individual, Megan strives to come up with new and interesting ideas. She previously was a Lead Community Champion within a supermarket and during this time, she supported the local community and schools and managed events to raise money for local charities. 

Megan recently joined the Chamber as she would love to bring a creative and dependable approach in to making a positive change for local businesses, and believes the Chamber will be a great networking platform to allow businesses to not only seek advice, but to allow many businesses to come together and support each other through innovative networking events. 


Louise Hall, LLB PGDip

Legal Affairs

Louise established 2020 Business Law in April 2016, with a vision of changing the face of legal services for SMEs. Having working within the legal sector, Louise’s wealth of knowledge has enabled her to provide a unique service centered around transparency, experience and professionalism.

Louise joined the Chamber to support local businesses and the community where she lives.

Anthony Pickernell

Public Relations

Anthony has been a resident of the Tidworth and Ludgershall area his whole life, where he currently resides with his wife, Julie.
He has held senior management positions in both private companies and the civil service; he was a member of the Tidworth Leisure Centre Centre Advisory and Management Development Board which also included supervising the refurbishment and management of the Tidworth Oval and other sporting facilities. He also managed the Garrison Theatre which my grandfather opened in 1909. On my retirement in 2010, he was asked to take over the position of Coordinator for the Tidworth Community Area Partnership, which was very focused on local business and the economy; it was then that he became a Committee Member of the Chamber.

While employed by the M.O.D. Anthony was pleased to receive The Commander –in-Chief’s Certificate for his charitable work within the local community. He is currently a Ludgershall Town Councillor and chairs several voluntary groups in the area. One of his greatest passions is supporting our local youth by being a Founder Trustee of our local Youth Centre, and a Governor of Wellington Academy.

His vision for the Chamber is to support improvements to the local infrastructure and economy to better support local businesses; he recognises the part local businesses play in supporting the local economy and jobs in our area.


Dennis Kofitia

Tidworth Town Council Representative

Dennis is part of the Armed Forces community, with 15 years of service. A family man, with four children and a wife, Dennis has lived in Tidworth for four years and regards Tidworth as home. A keen fencer, he enjoys the Morden Pentathlon when time permits.
He is very passionate about promoting the interest of micro business as he sees them as the cornerstone for any thriving town. He is an advocate for equal opportunities in every field of endeavor. Dennis joined the Council to serve the Town that he and his family refer to as home
